In Memoriam

We are grateful for the life of Anne Biagini, who with her husband Emo, was an early champion of DCP’s mission. Emo Biagini served on DCP’s Board of Directors where he provided guidance on leadership, organizational development and real estate. Anne supported DCP behind the scenes, encouraging Emo to make connections between DCP and other community leaders that could benefit DCP students and families. In their retirement, Anne supported Emo to become more involved with DCP because she valued the mission.

Anne expressed deep empathy for DCP families’ immigrant journeys. She was an incredible storyteller but when it came to learning about DCP students and their families, she was an attentive and caring listener. Anne felt a personal connection and believed that young women, especially, needed an education in order to have more meaningful personal and professional opportunities in life.

Anne welcomed DCP conversations around her kitchen table. Her home, and by extension, her family, came to support and care about DCP. One day, Anne mentioned to Emo that he might assist the organization by ensuring DCP’s Co-Founder and Executive Director, Jennifer Andaluz, maintain the energy level needed for the long-term. She and Emo eventually played the role of successful match-maker, introducing Jennifer to her husband, Robert. Anne always said that this was her greatest contribution to DCP.

Emo and Anne gave generously to DCP’s general operations and college scholarship program. Anne believed in sharing their treasure, contributing and giving back to the community where she had grown up and raised her family. With her nurturing spirit, light and laughter, Anne was a gift to DCP and to all those who knew her.
